Mobile Medical Software Firm Recruits Military Health IT Expert
AirStrip Technologies, developer of a software platform that connects patient information from hospital monitoring systems, bedside devices and EHRs to clinicians’ mobile devices, announced on Sept. 12 the appointment of Dr. Hon S. Pak as a senior advisor to the company. Prior to joining San Antonio-based AirStrip, Pak served as chief information officer in the U.S. Army Medical Department’s Office of the Surgeon General, where he was responsible for design, deployment, training and sustainment of all clinical information systems.
One of Pak’s roles with AirStrip will be to identify potential uses of the company’s mobile monitoring solutions to support the care and treatment of wounded soldiers. According to a statement released by AirStrip, Pak “is recognized for developing a comprehensive informatics infrastructure and a health IT strategy around patient-centered care with a specific focus on business intelligence. He also shaped an unprecedented federal investment in electronic health record exchanges and health information technology for active military, veteran and civilian populations. “...
