Red Monk

RedMonk is a data analysis company founded in 2002. Its analysts spend their days learning from the developers that are defining the future of technology, distilling our findings into free research, and working with clients to explain the likely impact.

Red Monk's business model is straightforward; they do occasional project work but mainly work under yearly retained subscriptions with clients which include consulting hours, press services, and a variety of other value adds. One important note: they do no commissioned research of any kind, feeling that it has little value. They have embraced the ideals and philosophy of the growing 'open' movement.
