Google, Inc. will be joining PricewaterhouseCooper (PwC) and its partners in a bid to win the favor of the Pentagon as it seeks to modernize its EHR infrastructure. Oroville Hospital CEO Tells the Story of their Successful VistA EHR Self-Implementation at VistA Expo 2011
One of most exciting presentations at the VistaEXPO 2011 conference was given by Robert Wentz, Hospital Administrator and CEO of Oroville Hospital, a regional hospital in the beautiful mountains of Northern California. Oroville Hospital has achieved a whole series of milestones in close partnership with the VistA community. PwC Announces Google, Inc. is on the PwC Team Bidding for the Department of Defense Healthcare Management Systems Modernization Program
PwC US today announced Google Inc. is a part of the PwC team in the bid for the Department of Defense (DoD) Healthcare Management Systems Modernization (DHMSM) Electronic Health Record (EHR) contract. The DHMSM program will replace and modernize the Military Health System (MHS), which currently supports more than 9.7 million beneficiaries, including active duty, retirees and their dependents.

VistA Marketing Ramps Up in Advance of DoD EHR Award
A marketing campaign aimed at raising the profile of the Veterans Affairs Department's open source electronic health record is in full swing. A non-profit group founded through a VA contract to advance the department's Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture has stood up a website, Twitter account and LinkedIn group to promote VistA.
