Foundation for NIH and mHealth Alliance Announce 3rd Annual mHealth Summit
The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) and the mHealth Alliance announced today that the 3rd annual mHealth Summit will be held from December 5-7, 2011 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, DC area.
The largest event of its kind, the 2011 mHealth Summit will connect leaders in government, private sector, industry, academia, and not-for-profit organizations from across the mHealth ecosystem to advance collaboration in the use of wireless technology to improve health outcomes in the United States and abroad.
Building on the success of last year’s Summit, which included prominent leaders such as Bill Gates, Judith Rodin, and Aneesh Chopra, the 2011 mHealth Summit will feature an expanded agenda highlighting the technology, research, business, and policy perspectives of mHealth.
“The mHealth Summit provides an opportunity for science and technology communities to collaborate and discuss the vision for health technology innovation, solving problems and implementing solutions by using the mobile platform and revolutionizing healthcare in the U.S. and the developing world,” said Richard Scarfo, Director of the mHealth Summit at FNIH. “The 3rd annual mHealth Summit will provide opportunities to evaluate the state of mobile health technology and build partnerships and collaborations to move the field of mHealth research forward.”
The 2011 mHealth Summit will:
