Sakai is a widely used open source Content Management System (CMS) and Collaboration and Learning Environment (CLE) software solution designed for education, research and related scholarly activities. The Sakai Foundation plays a supportive role in creating the collaboration infrastructure, leading the release management process, and facilitating communication and coordination across the Sakai community.
