VA Awards Systems Made Simple Re-Compete Of T4 Veterans Services Network (VETSNET) Development And Maintenance Support Contract
Systems Made Simple to continue supporting Veterans Benefits Administration’s transition to automated claims processing
SYRACUSE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Systems Made Simple, a Lockheed Martin company and a leading provider of IT systems and services to support critical architecture, data and application challenges in the healthcare industry, today announced it has been awarded the re-compete of the Veterans Services Network (VETSNET) Development and Maintenance Support contract under the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Transformation Twenty-one Total Technology (T4) contract vehicle.
VETSNET, a suite of applications, provides the core technology in support of end-to-end claims processing services charged to the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). During the transition from paper to automated claims through the VBA’s Business Transformation Strategy (BTS), the legacy VETSNET thick-client applications and valuable corporate data must remain in-tact, fully functional and widely available to both end users and consuming systems that leverage VETSNET data and business logic.
“We are proud to announce this win for our organization and believe our technical and management approach will help improve outcomes for our nation’s veterans and their beneficiaries,” said Al Nardslico, President of Systems Made Simple. “We are dedicated to VETSNET and look forward to providing continued service as we implement improvements to VETSNET Development and Production Operations Support.”
As the prime contractor on the original VETSNET contract for the past three years, Systems Made Simple has been and continues to be an active partner in the VBA BTS, working to improve multiple aspects of the disability benefits and education claims processing lifecycles. Systems Made Simple will continue providing VETSNET with an application capable of delivering continued development services; implementing functional enhancements to the VETSNET Awards, FAS and SPP applications; and delivering additional major and supplemental releases during the lifecycle of the project.
