SPARC 2014 Open Access Meeting

SPARC is pleased to announce that the 2014 Open Access Meeting theme will be "Convergence"

SPARC®, the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition, is an international alliance of academic and research libraries working to create a more open system of scholarly communication.  

The past year has seen growing momentum on many fronts of the movement towards "open". Advances in the areas of open access, open data, and open educational resources have grown exponentially since the last SPARC Open Access Meeting was convened in 2012.   As this push for greater openness continues, these three fronts are converging in interesting and potentially transformative ways.  As this push for greater openness continues, these three fronts are converging in interesting and potentially transformative ways. 

 Meeting registration will open in the fall of 2013.
