FrontlineSMS lowers barriers to social change using mobile technologies. Our open-source SMS-messaging software helps organizations all over the world overcome communications barriers. It enables users to send, receive and manage SMS over a mobile network. Users only pay the standard text messaging charges through their regular mobile provider.

Two years in the making, FrontlineSMS Version 2 is a redesign of our software built upon extensive input and feedback from those using the software across the world. The redesign makes the software more intuitive, simpler to extend and run over networks, and makes it easier to manage larger volumes of messages. Browser-based and built to run on Windows, Mac and Linux, the software still does not need the Internet to work, sending text messages via a phone, modem or an online SMS aggregator...
