5th Annual Warfighter Support IT Day Will Feature Health IT Panel
This coming Tuesday on August 28, the 5th Annual Warfighter Support IT Day will feature a high caliber panel focused on health IT. The panelists are experts in their field, and – of special interest to our readers – experts in the future iEHR (Integrated Electronic Health Record), a joint project spearheaded by the VA and DoD. 28th VistA Community Meeting
Former VA CIO Roger Baker and Oroville Hospital CEO Robert Wentz will be addressing the 28th Vista Community Meeting (VCM) in Sacramento, CA in what promises to be one most important conferences of the VistA community to date. The conference, which takes place January 17-19 at the UC Davis School of Medicine campus in Sacramento, CA will feature a stellar cast of Health IT leaders. DOD/VA Healthcare 2014
DoD/VA Healthcare 2014 will cover the topics most pertinent to you, our DoD and VA audience members. This year's conference will provide a forum for various military branches and their VA counterparts to discuss best practices for the treatment of patients and exchange ideas with industry leaders.

Open Source Leadership Jam 2022
The US Government and Department of Defense (DoD) will rely on its Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDCs) and University Affiliated Research Centers (UARCs) along with industry to educate and put into place practical policies, guidance, processes, and technology to enact the intent of a recently released memorandum on Open Source Software (OSS). This workshop seeks to start the conversation among these entities and coordinate the means needed to elevate, objectively, the trustworthiness of not only OSS but also the entire OSS ecosystem while continuing to benefit from the speed, innovation, and transparency already seen today.
