VistA-Edge Practice Management System
The VistA-Edge PMS provides an easy to use GUI with rich features for Patient Registration, Schedules, Paper and Electronic Claims using both 4010 and 5010 HIPAA messages. All patient registrations and schedules are sent automatically to VistA using the Mirth HL7 engine. All billing related information including CPT and ICD codes are also sent as HL7 messages by VistA to the PMS. The VistA-EdgeTM PMS uses J2SE (Swing) based front end and a MySQL Database.

28th VistA Community Meeting
Former VA CIO Roger Baker and Oroville Hospital CEO Robert Wentz will be addressing the 28th Vista Community Meeting (VCM) in Sacramento, CA in what promises to be one most important conferences of the VistA community to date. The conference, which takes place January 17-19 at the UC Davis School of Medicine campus in Sacramento, CA will feature a stellar cast of Health IT leaders. In addition to Baker and Wentz, conference speakers include Dr. Seong Ki Mun, Chairman of OSEHRA, Howard Hays, CIO of the Indian Health Service (IHS), Theresa Cullen, Chief Medial Informatics Officer (CMIO) of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Stephen Oxley, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Central Regional Hospital in North Carolina, and Denise LeFevre, CIO of Oroville Hospital.

29th VistA Community Meeting
The upcoming 29th VistA Community Meeting (VCM), to take place June 2-4 at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, is shaping up as a breakthrough gathering of technical experts on VistA and community members. The VistA community will be gathering at George Mason University (GMU) for the 33 VistA Community Meeting (VCM). Major topics of discussion at this conference will be the advances made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in incorporating open source contributions to VistA and well as collaborating with the VistA community. Representatives from the Kingdom of Jordan will provide details of their national VistA deployment.
