Brady Mathis has been delivering healthcare IT since 1998. Having studied mathematics and computer science, he began as a developer writing and maintaining SQL queries for a healthcare database. From here, Brady went on to manage teams that created and implemented applications across the healthcare technology spectrum. These applications include scheduling, patient registration, medical records, billing, collections, and interfaces using ANSI X.12, HL7 and DICOM.
Most recently he guided the Neuron Health Project engineering team through the development, implementation, and ONC 2011 certification of an EHR built on the Tolven Platform. Brady is now the principal manager of the Neuron Health open source community and works for Roberts-Hoffman Software.
Though he loves new technologies in all shapes and sizes, Brady emphasizes IT that helps the people who use it and results in measurable efficiencies. Counting himself among the many millions who have benefited from open source software, he is thrilled to have the opportunity to contribute to the open source healthcare community. When he's not focusing on helpful technology, you'll find him enjoying the wilds of the Colorado mountains with his wife and kids.
