The Latin-American Conference on Health Informatics will be held May 17-19 in Guadalajara, Mexico. The theme of the conference is Health Informatics: Improving Quality of Care Through Global Collaboration. The day after the conference, IMIA (the International Medical Informatics Association), one of the major participants in the conference, will be holding a board meeting.

The conference will be featuring a very extensive set of workshops and presentations. This is a truly "international" conference on health IT collaboration. The conference has a strong participation from all Latin American and the Caribbean.
