Institute for e-Health Policy Congressional Luncheon Seminar: Biosurveillance

Plan to attend the lunch briefings of the Capitol Hill “Steering Committee on Telehealth and Healthcare Informatics” on Wednesday, November 16th, from 12:00 – 1:45 pm in Congressional Visitors Center North (CVC 268), we will host a panel and discussion on the use of biosurveillance technologies toward improved public health.

Representatives of RTI International and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will discuss progress on the BioSense program authorized under the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002. BioSense is designed to track health problems as they evolve, providing public health officials with the data, information and tools they need to better prepare for and coordinate responses to safeguard and improve the health of the American people.Honorary Co-Chair of the Steering Committee on Telehealth and Healthcare Informatics, Rep.
