Staff Writer | NUI Maynooth | October 24, 2011
The GHO, GIS Health Research Open Source project through NCG at NUI Maynooth is building capacity in using geographical information systems for health research in poor countries. In September the first group of trainers, from Thailand, Malawi and Kenya, were funded to both attend a training course and then run their first training course. All the materials, including open source software, are developed and licensed free of charge. GHO is now applying for funding to roll the programme out.
