Report From HIMSS 2012: Toward Interoperability and Openness
I was wondering how it would feel to be in the midst of 35,000 people whose livelihoods are driven by the decisions of a large institution at the moment when that institution releases a major set of rules. George Mason University Hosts CONNECT Code-A-Thon
George Mason University is hosting the CONNECT Code-A-Thon on August 16-17, at The Hub - and registration is still open! This event includes plenary sessions, expert panels, and most importantly, working sessions where participants will be working side-by-side with other professionals from the government and private sector. It is also a free-form hackathon that provides the flexibility to work on projects you're interested in, and an opportunity to network with other organizations with similar interests and requirements. The Federal Health Architecture (FHA) will host the first CONNECT User Group Meeting on May 21, 2013! Join FHA and the CONNECT Team for this one-day event that will:
- Highlight the progress being made to enable successful health information exchange (HIE) between and among federal agencies and other health organizations
- Introduce new capabilities and features in CONNECT, the dynamic software that enables the secure exchange of health information
- Address how CONNECT adopters are using it today
