HANDI Health Apps Looking for Workshop Speakers/Panelists
Just got an email from Jill Riley from HANDI Health calling for speakers and panelists for their upcoming conference on November 4th and 5th in Birmingham, UK. HANDI Health is a non-profit organization focused on the development of open source health IT solutions. They have had a series of very successful conferences and workshops and many senior members of UK's National Health System believe that HANDI has contributed more usable code than what they got from the $19.6 billion failure of their previous Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) effort.
The main website for HANDI can be found here. More details on the conference can be found here.
Details of the call for Speakers and Panelists:
HANDI Health Apps Conference and Workshops will be held on November 4th and 5th at NEC Birmingham, UK. It will be co-located with EHI Live at NEC Birmingham
Workshop Panelists / Speakers Sought
The conference will hold 7 workshops over the two-days. These are:
- Wearable Tech
- Integrating Apps
- HANDI HOPD
- From Idea to App
- Apps in use
- Co-creation for Care
- Gamification
We are looking for volunteers or suggested speakers to sit on each of the workshop panels from HANDI members.
We need people with expertise and / or direct experience in the subject area and if you would like to put yourself forward, or know someone that would be suitable to invite, please email Jill Riley <[email protected]> as soon as possible.
Workshop sessions will follow the format that went extremely well at our Spring Symposium held earlier this year, where each workshop will have a panel of 3 or 4 speakers who will each spend 5 minutes to set the scene leaving 40 minutes for 2-way question and answer debate.
Further detail on each of the workshop themes can be viewed HERE
Workshop Themes Sponsorship Opportunity
In addition to invited panellists, we are offering one place on each of the themed sessions to an individual / organisation who sponsors the session at a cost of £950 + VAT. The cost of this includes:-
- Acknowledged on stage (Toute Suite).
- Panelist or facilitator to sit on/contribute to relevant session (not intended as a selling platform)
- Acknowledged on Conference Programme
- Acknowledged on Handi website
- Mentioned in Handi promotional emails
If you would like to sponsor a theme, in the first instance please contact Jill, [email protected], stating which theme you would like to sponsor and provide contact details. NOTE: sponsorship will be taken on a first-come first-served basis.
HANDI App Village
Following the success of the HANDI App Village last year, we are again located in the main exhibition area. Visitors to the Village consist of health and care professionals with a particular interest in digital health, IT professionals working in health and care, health and care managers and commissioners plus others.
These people are actively seeking digital health tools and apps that they can apply and use within their organisation or recommend to others, and we are offering a number of shell scheme exhibition areas within the Village where health and care app developers can showcase their products without getting lost amongst the large stands of the major IT vendors.
To find out more about exhibiting in the Village please contact Rob Hodge on +44 (0)20 7785 7011 or email [email protected]
HANDI App Village Café
This year we are planning a ‘Café’ area, where delegates, exhibitors and speakers can get together to network.
Members of the HANDI team will be available in the area where you can come and discuss digital health issues with the HANDI team, HANDI speakers, exhibitors and other delegates.
The detail is being finalised, but we are now looking to promote the area, which should be a big crowd puller – and are seeking organisations that might be interested in sponsoring this area.
Further detail will be available soon, but if you are interested in sponsoring this area please drop Jill [email protected] an email.
To find out more about exhibiting in the HANDI App Village or other sponsorship opportunites, please contact Rob Hodge on +44 (0)20 7785 7011 or email [email protected]
We look forward to welcoming you to the event.
