New Software Plug-in Allows Micro-Manager Users to Automatically Open Images in Image-Pro Plus for Advanced Image Analysis

Media Cybernetics has developed a new Micro-Manager plug-in that allows Micro-Manager software users to easily open their images in Media Cybernetics’ advanced analysis Image-Pro Plus® software. The new “Open in Image-Pro” plug-in allows Micro-Manager users to automatically send their images and files to Image-Pro Plus in just one click.

Micro-Manager, an extension to ImageJ, is an open source image acquisition program used by life science researchers. This tool allows users to execute common microscope image acquisition strategies such as time-lapses, multi-channel imaging, and z-stacks.

Image-Pro Plus software also offers basic image acquisition, processing and measurement features, but additionally includes the most advanced software tools available for counting, classify and quantifying objects in images. Based on over 30 years of development and user feedback, Image-Pro Plus includes tools for advanced object tracking, 3D measurements, and macro recording and automation. Image-Pro Plus users can also share their application-specific macros and plug-ins via Media Cybernetics’ Solutions Zone website.
