The tranSMART Foundation Annual Conference will be held at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) in La Jolla, CA on October 25-27, 2016. The tranSMART Foundation is a non-profit organization whose aim is to provide a global open source, open data, cloud-based knowledge management platform that allows scientists to share pre-competitive translational research data.

The conference will be hosted by local host Dr. Jeff Grethe and Julie Bryant, CEO of Rancho Biosciences and will include sessions with speakers who are industry experts in various areas of translational medicine, a poster competition, and a special panel on Future Directions in translational and clinical research. Fees for non-members are as follows: $499 (industry organizations) and $150 (academic, government, and not-for-profit organizations). There is no attendance fee for members of the tranSMART Foundation.
