HRH Global Resource Center Launches eLearning Program

On August 2, the HRH Global Resource Center officially launched its eLearning program at an online event hosted in Chapel Hill, NC, and highlighted the program’s first eLearning course, iHRIS Administrator: Level 1.

HRH Global Resource CenterThe eLearning program is part of a broader strategy focused on finding innovative approaches to make human resources for health (HRH) knowledge widely available, said CapacityPlus’s Maurice I. Middleberg. He lauded CapacityPlus’s Rebecca Rhodes for involving stakeholders and a wide range of technical experts in the development of the eLearning program and first course.

In response to developing countries’ requests to build their capacity in information technology, iHRIS Administrator: Level 1 provides instructions in the basic skill set needed to administer and customize CapacityPlus’s human resources information systems (HRIS) software, iHRIS Manage and iHRIS Qualify. Developed by Dr. Carl Leitner, Carol Bales, Beth Massie, Rebecca Rhodes, and Angela McCune, the course is based on field-tested training materials and includes lessons, quizzes, audio and video instruction, and transcripts.
