HP Wins $39 Million Contract To Continue VistA Support
HP was awarded a five-year, $39 million contract to continue providing operations and maintenance software applications support for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture, also known as VistA.
As a part of the task order under the VA T-4 contract, HP will provide defect remediation and table maintenance for more than 100 applications across the VA network, enabling the prompt, reliable resolution of patient safety issues, as well as timely, complete and tested solutions.
The contract extends HP’s 10-year involvement with the VistA system, and the company’s relationship with the VA, which has spanned more than 14 years. “Ensuring that veterans across the country have access to safe, reliable healthcare is a top priority for VA,” said Marilyn Crouther, senior vice president and general manager, U.S. Public Sector, HP Enterprise Services. “HP has the expertise to address issues with applications used nationwide, by veterans, clinicians and administrators throughout the VA, and continues to place the utmost importance on software issues affecting patient safety.”
