careMESH Raises $5M in Seed Funding to Scale Integration of its Healthcare Communications Platform
The company connects the care continuum so providers can work within any electronic health record to communicate and collaborate with any other, instantly.
RESTON, Va. - June 16, 2020 - PRLog -- careMESH today announced that it has closed an initial $5M seed round led by Assurance Capital and Pavey Family Investments, with participation by other early-stage investor funds and individuals. The funding will be used to scale adoption of its first-of-a-kind communications platform, which brings a National Provider Directory, patient event notifications, secure communications, and transition of care workflows into a single service for hospitals, health systems and other healthcare delivery organizations.
"careMESH is challenging the status quo and creating new ways of using established technology standards to dramatically improve how healthcare communicates. They have the model that will make the most of their customers' investments in EHRs and other large IT systems, while bringing new flexibility and reach to the table," explains Matt Morrison of Assurance Capital. "I'm proud to help lead this round of investment and am excited to watch careMESH grow and have a tremendous impact on the industry."
More than ever, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought attention to the critical need for streamlined, interoperable healthcare communications to extend care team collaboration. Bridging that gap for hospitals is the careMESH solution, which features:
- A National Provider Directory, with over 5.1M individual practitioner and organizational listings-the most complete directory available in the market-with detailed information about specialties, hospital affiliations, office locations, medical licensing, and more.
- careMESH Delivery Manager, which ensures healthcare organizations can share medical records, referrals, admit/discharge notifications, image files, messages and more with anyone in the Directory-even if the receiving clinician or practice has not subscribed to the service.
"As an investor, I see the best results when I back really smart people with a clear vision for how they will solve an important problem. Companies like careMESH are going to be the change-makers," said Bob Pavey, Managing Partner, Pavey Family Investments. "I'm proud to be a leader in this round of investment in careMESH and know that the pedigree of its executive team, the innovative approach to how its services are developed, and early adoption by cutting-edge healthcare providers and technology partners indicates tremendous market potential."
Added Dr. Peter S. Tippett, Founder and CEO of careMESH: "We are committed to helping healthcare organizations implement modern solutions to further interoperability and help drive care team communication and collaboration to ultimately improve patient outcomes. With the support of this distinguished and collaborative group of investors, we're scaling our market reach and our ability to provide an excellent implementation and support experience to each healthcare organization we serve."
