Widely credited with helping transform the VA into an efficient and clinically effective healthcare organization, VistA played a key role in inspiring the current multibillion-dollar federal stimulus initiative to motivate U.S. healthcare providers to achieve meaningful use. Enhanced for commercial healthcare and made available as open source by Medsphere Systems Corporation, OpenVista is a portfolio of products and professional services for hospitals, clinics, and integrated delivery networks.
