Open World Forum 2013
The Open World Forum is back for the sixth time. The Open World Forum is the first European summit to gather political representatives, decision-makers and experts to debate the technological, economic and social impacts that the Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) solutions and technologies bring to the market. More than 3,000 attendees are expected for this year's Edition.
Global Vision Forum: Dr. Kespechara & Hospital OS in Thailand
Dr. Kongkiat Kespechara, Ashoka fellow, is the inaugural speaker for the Research Triangle Park's Global Vision Forum. An MD, software developer, healthcare IT visionary and agricultural pioneer, Dr. Kespechara uses Hospital OS, an open source software platform to enable small, rural hospitals around the world to provide improved health care services and make more effective use of the severely limited financial and human resources at their disposal. At present, 90 hospitals, 325 clinics around Thailand are using Hospital OS daily.
2013 OpenMRS Implementers Meeting
This meeting provides an opportunity for developers to collaborate and improve their technical skills in OpenMRS, implementers to share their best practices from implementations, and users to propose and prioritize their top features in future releases of the software. The 2013 Implementers Meeting may also include visits to OpenMRS implementation sites along with a discussion afterward for participants to share their experience and suggestions.
Open Source Hospital Information Systems Development Workshop
The Open Source Hospital Information Systems Development Workshop will be held October 21-25, 2013, at the United Nations (UN) University International Institute for Global Health. The 5-day programme will consist of lectures, intensive discussion sessions, hands-on programming session and site visits. The main purpose of the workshop is to equip healthcare professionals working in a hospital information system environment with a fundamental knowledge of the concepts and components of open source hospital information systems.

Open Access & Research Conference 2013
