Conference taking place October 23 in Singapore during HIMSS Digital Healthcare Week
BEAVERTON, OR, OCTOBER 8, 2013--Continua Health Alliancetoday announced its Southeast Asia Work Group is hosting a flagship event during HIMSS Digital Healthcare Week 2013, highlighting unique business development opportunities, policy initiatives and the advantages of personal connected health devices and solutions for the region. Continua also recently announced that Francis Puno, Head of Business Development, mHealth, Spice Global, was named chair of the Southeast Asia Work Group. Continua is a non-profit multi-stakeholder group and the leading organization convening global technology industry standards to develop end-to-end, plug-and-play connectivity for personal connected health. Continua's Southeast Asia Work Group will manage the organization's relations with institutions and government agencies throughout this important region.
Taking place on October 23, Continua Health Alliance:Market Development, Policy Incentives and Expanded Access to Healthcare, will address the advantages of end-to-end, plug-and-play connectivity for personal connected health devices and systems. Continua executives will also discuss the benefits of Continua membership; leaders from Singhealth Polyclinics and Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority will address the impact personal connected health can have for healthcare throughout the region and for the citizens of Southeast Asia.

Continua's Design Guidelines are based on global industry standards for interoperability, to improve health management, clinical outcomes and quality of life.
